Drink and Drive

Early this month, Petron's The Avengers Promo will require you to purchase a minimum of 1000 peso worth of their "distilled dinosaur juice" (oil for short) just to avail one tumbler...that means if you don't own any kind of vehicle and doesn't know how to drive, you are obliged to undergo driving lessons first, buy a car so that you can have something to fill up, and purchase a total of 4000-peso worth of "dinosaur juice" just to complete all 4 tumblers......or am I overly exaggerating?

In my opinion, I think this promo was very well thought of...not because majority of jeepney drivers in the Philippines are Marvel fans or toy enthusiasts....but because the tumblers can be used for drinking "lambanog" after a long day of work.^^

Thankfully, I won't have to deal with my unimpressive reasoning just to complete all four. I got all four tumblers for 240 pesos only with the recent promo....for 4 marvel figures that's really cheap!

(60 each minus the car, the driving lessons and a few liters of dinosaur juice).

I captured these using Nokia N8 plus the usual editing. The Iron man figure looks and feel cheap. It may look nice in the picture because I enhanced the color, but in actual it's dull red. Go here for bigger resolution: http://www.flickr.com/photos/infranose/

Since I don't drink...I might give these to someone who does.....or maybe I should learn how to.^^

Flickr's April Fools' Day Offering

The "ugh" symbol

Yesterday, I checked out my flickr account and noticed an unusual "ugh!" symbol at the lower right corner of the page. I clicked it out of curiosity...I heard a beep and then the whole page changed showing only the "ugh!" symbol....then back at my previous page. Everything was changed into old style...even the font. I thought at first maybe it's a virus but thanks to google...I learned that it was only flickr's way of saying: You've been fooled!
